Etsy fees

Transaction and processing fees apply to the item price plus shipping.

What you keep from a $150 order

Say a customer pays $150 for an order and you want to know what you receive, ignoring what the product cost you. These are the amounts for a US seller using standard fees, with no ads and no sales tax in the total.

PlatformFeesYou receive
Etsy$14.70$135.30
eBay (most categories)$20.80$129.20
Amazon (you ship, Individual plan, 15% category)$23.49$126.51

The percentages look similar, but the fixed pieces behave differently. Etsy adds a listing fee and a flat $0.25 to processing. eBay adds a per-order fee. Amazon adds a plan fee, and FBA sellers also pay fulfillment, which can be larger than the referral fee on low-priced items. The calculator breaks every line out so you can see where the money goes.

How the calculator works

  1. Choose Payout after fees or Full profit.
  2. Pick your currency. Amounts convert at the rate shown, which you can edit.
  3. Select Etsy, eBay or Amazon and adjust any fee that differs for your account.
  4. Read the statement on the right. It lists each fee, what you receive, and what share of the order the fees take.
  5. Use the box below the statement to work backwards: enter the amount you want to receive, or your target margin, and get the price to charge.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?

For a US seller with no shipping charge and no ads, Etsy takes $9.95: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee ($6.50) and payment processing of 3% plus $0.25 ($3.25). Offsite Ads add 12% to 15% when the order came from those ads.

How much does eBay take per sale?

For most categories eBay charges a final value fee of 13.6% of the total sale (item, shipping and sales tax), plus a per-order fee of $0.30 on orders up to $10 or $0.40 above that. Some categories, such as athletic shoes and watches, use different rates, and Store subscribers pay less.

What are Amazon seller fees?

Amazon charges a referral fee, usually 8% to 15% of the sale price depending on category, plus a selling plan (0.99 USD per item or 39.99 USD per month). FBA sellers also pay a per-unit fulfillment fee, storage fees and, since April 2026, a 3.5% fuel surcharge on fulfillment fees.

Does the payout calculator include my product cost?

No. Payout after fees shows only what the marketplace pays you after its fees and sales tax. Switch to Full profit to also subtract item cost, packaging, shipping and other costs.

Are fees charged on shipping and sales tax?

Etsy charges its transaction and processing fees on the item price plus shipping. eBay charges its final value fee on item price, shipping and sales tax together. Amazon charges its referral fee on item price plus shipping. Enter the sales tax included in your order total and the calculator handles each case.

Which currencies does the calculator support?

More than 150 currencies. Choose one and your amounts convert automatically. Reference exchange rates are dated 9 October 2026 and you can type your own rate at any time. Fixed fees such as the Etsy listing fee are billed in US dollars by default, so they are converted at the same rate.

How accurate are the results?

The calculator follows the fee schedules the marketplaces publish and every rate can be edited. Fees change often and vary by account, country and category, so treat the result as an estimate and check your own fee statements.

Is my data saved anywhere?

Your numbers stay in your browser. The calculator remembers them with local storage so they are there next time, and nothing you type is sent to our servers.
